Guidelines FAQ

Who is a Worker and who is an Employer?  What are Campaigns and what is a task?  How everything works?

Because we call jobs "micro jobs", Workers could also be called "micro workers".
Micro jobs are jobs that could be finished quick in most cases in couple of minutes.

To be better guided, please take time to also read our Frequently asked questions

Employers

Employers are people who need help getting something done.
Employers start new campaigns and look for Workers.
Employers review work done and pay Workers.

Guidelines for Employers

When starting a Campaign, employers should comply with our guidelines:

1. A Campaign must be well-described, understandable and suitable for general audience. Instructions and proofs should be described in a brief and clear manner as possible, listed in numbers and with no repetition of instructions.

2. Rude and negative comments included in the instructions will not be allowed. Avoid including CAPS-locked comments (like IMPORTANT, MUST, WARNING and !!!) in the instructions. Threats to Workers will also not be accepted (ex. I will have your Microworkers account banned, etc). A positive and friendly tone will always be appreciated.

3. Must not require any illegal activities and must not be harmful in any way.

4. Employers should understand that each Campaign is basically a job offered to a minimum of 30 workers.

5. International campaigns must be directed to the general users/Workers and not selective to a few countries only.

6. When reviewing finished tasks submitted by Workers, Employers should use fair judgement; if submitted task is finished as required, Employer must mark such task as "satisfied". If a task did not satisfy requirements, Employer must mark such task as "not satisfied" and provide a valid reason for disapproving the worker’s proof.

7. Employers will only pay for tasks that satisfied requirements ("satisfied"). Microworkers does not charge any money of fees for tasks that did not meet requirements set by Employers.

Campaigns guidelines

Campaigns could also be referred to as "jobs". Every Campaign consist of requirements, how many Workers needed (positions) and amount Workers will earn. When Workers accept a job they will have to submit a proof that they finished this job.Every Campaign must meet conditions described below.

Workers

Workers are people who enjoy helping others
and earning a little extra cash.
Workers accept jobs and deliver results.
Workers get paid.

Guidelines for Workers

Workers must follow strict rules:

1. Every worker should only create and use one account.

2. A Worker is allowed to accept same job only once. Using more than one Microworkers account and accepting same job more than once will result in account termination.

3. Workers should only accept jobs they are capable of finishing. If you think you cannot deliver results, don't accept that job. Accepting a job and submitting a false proof will raise a red flag. In most cases three (3) red flags lead to account termination.

4. We have also implemented automated success rate monitoring. If Workers must maintain certain level of success rate over all times. Too many Not-Satisfied tasks will affect success rate. If the rate goes below certain %, worker will not be able to submit tasks for the next 30 days.

5. Once Worker submits a proof, task will appear in the list "Tasks I finished". Tasks not yet rated by Campaign owners (Employers) have a gray icon. Tasks rated with "Satisfied" appear with green icon. Tasks rated with "Not satisfied" will display a red icon.

6. Worker who participate in PR Link campaign must maintain the PR link for 1 year from the date of submission. Removal of PR Link before 1 year period will result in account termination.

7. Worker who participate in Article campaign must ensure the submitted article does not have plagiarism content. It is suggested that all article submissions are verified using third party verification such as copyscape.com. Worker caught for using plagiarism content will result in account termination.

8. Workers will automatically get paid for tasks rated as "Satisfied". Money will be deposited into Worker's account as soon as Employer rates submitted task. If Employer forgets to rate tasks, they will be automatically closed by the system in 168 hours and will automatically be rated "Satisfied". No task will remain unrate for more than 168 hours.

Workers who are caught soliciting the Employers for tasks outside Microworkers using the proof box will automatically be terminated.

Likewise, Workers found posting spam messages, plagiarism of article jobs, multiple accounts, removing PR links, and fake proofs will be terminated from Microworkers.

We take spam & scam very seriously and we fight against it! In order to protect Employers we will not tolerate any action or any activity that could harm Employers' satisfaction.

WARNING for Workers - PIN, one account, termination

All our members must provide their Full name and current mailing address. The reason is that we will send a PIN number to every worker - PIN is sent to HOME address (not to email address). Workers will not be able to withdraw money until they receive a PIN number and enter it into the system. This means that all workers are VERIFIED and cannot create multiple accounts. PIN numbers will arrive in 5-25 days depending on your location.

We at Microworkers have implemented many controls that allow us to screen everything going on in the Microworkers system. We will do our best to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Users whose accounts were terminated (for any reason) will no longer be allowed to participate in Microworkers system in the future.

Payouts - withdrawals
  • Payout limit is $9
  • Payments are sent via Moneybookers or Alertpay
  • Payments are processed within 30 days after placing a withdrawal request)
  • More payment options will be available in the future. Announcements will be made once they are implemented.
"Hire Group" Campaigns

"Hire Group" Campaigns are different than "Basic" Campaigns. When you run a "Basic" Campaign, you cannot select Workers; every available Worker in the system will be able to accept your job. This type of Campaign is suitable for easy tasks such as Voting, Searching, Liking a Facebook page, etc.

"Hire Group" Campaigns allow you to assign jobs only to Workers of your choice. You can create Groups of Workers and assign tasks to that particular Group. If you want more Workers to perform your required task, you can simply add more to the Group even while your campaign is active. You can search for good Workers, sort by different criteria and hire only Best Workers.

When your campaign requires different information to be displayed to each Worker, you have the option to upload a CSV file (spreadsheet) and assign individual Workers with a different task/variable. Please refer to the following page for guidelines on uploading a CSV file: http://microworkers.com/csv.php

"Hire Group" campaigns are recommended for more advanced jobs such as: Tagging Images, Checking Websites, Writing Articles, Writing Reviews, Posting to Forums, Creating Blog Posts with Backlinks, etc.
